WILF FAMILY COMPLETES PURCHASE OF ORLANDO CITY SOCCER CLUB & ORLANDO PRIDE

The Wilf family, owners of the Minnesota Vikings, has finalized its acquisition of Orlando City Soccer Club, becoming the Club’s new majority owners. The purchase includes the Orlando City Soccer Club of Major League Soccer, the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League, Exploria Stadium and all related soccer assets, including the Orlando City Academy and Youth Soccer Network, and the Club’s two official training facilities, the Orlando Health Training Ground at Osceola Heritage Park and the Orlando Health Training Ground at Sylvan Lake Park. WHAT’S NEXT AT VIKING LAKES? APARTMENTS, SHOPS, AND MORE TO COME AFTER OMNI VIKING LAKES HOTEL CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING

The Omni Viking Lakes Hotel celebrated its pandemic-delayed grand opening on August 3rd as redevelopment of the surrounding Viking Lakes campus transitioned into a new phase. Roughly one-third of the 200-acre Eagan, MN, site has been developed by MV Ventures, a company owned by the Wilf family. Progress so far includes not just the 320-room hotel, but a new Vikings headquarters and practice facility, a 60,000-square-foot office building, and a Twin Cities Orthopedics clinic. (Read More)

 

FIRST US-BASED PANERAI EXPERIENCE LAUNCHES WITH PROFESSIONAL CLIMBER JIMMY CHIN AS A PART OF THE PANERAI EXPERIENCE PROGRAM

One brave writer went mountain climbing with Jimmy Chin as part of Panerai’s latest extreme excursion tied to a limited-edition watch. In order to be able to purchase the ultra-limited watch, you need to have extensive Panerai purchase history, and most importantly, be willing to participate in the adventure experience. The Panerai experience program was started three years ago by CEO Jean-Marc Pontroué and has featured other experiences such as a free-diving expedition in French Polynesia with the record-setting French free diver Guillaume Néry, and a hardcore training experience with the Royal Italian Navy in La Spezia, Italy. SHAY MITCHELL’S TEQUILA SELTZER BRAND, ONDA, LAUNCHES ITS PARADISE COLLECTION

Shay Mitchell’s tequila seltzer brand, Onda, launches its paradise collection with four new flavors, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, and strawberry. Onda was co-founded in 2020 by Mitchell and her co-founder Kelli Adams. The pair had this vision for a 90’s surf style tequila seltzer brand after struggling to find quality ingredient canned beverages specifically in the tequila space. Adams and Mitchell along with their two other co-founders, Noah Gray and Max Dworin, brought Onda to market. Currently, in 27 states and over 5,500+ retailers, Onda is one of the few canned seltzers on the shelves founded by females. (Read More)

 

THE STAGLIN FAMILY’S PUSH TO BROADEN AWARENESS OF MENTAL ILLNESS

The Staglin Family, of Staglin Family Vineyard in Napa Valley, continue their push to broaden awareness of mental illness and to raise funds. The family’s One Mind nonprofit organization and Music Festival for Brain Health provide funding to accelerate scientific research of mental illness. On Saturday, September 11th, the nonprofit will host its 27th festival, featuring a scientific symposium, an in-person event, VIP wine dinner, and a virtual wine and jazz concert with pianist Joey Calderazzo and saxophonist Branford Marsalis at Del Frisco restaurants across the country. FESTIVAL NAPA VALLEY RAISES $2.8 MILLION AT ARTS FOR ALL GALA

Festival Napa Valley wraps a record-setting season. Roaring back into action with 60 outdoor, sold-out concerts and events over two weeks in July, Festival Napa Valley capped its 15th summer season by raising a record-breaking $2.8 million at its Arts for All Gala, headlined by global superstar Jennifer Hudson.
